- The DOI needs to resolve to a landing page. This is the URL that has to be added manually in the DOI System. This needs to be a landing page URL, not a pdf, not a word document, it would be something like https://ciep-ge.com/xyz (example ETH: https://www.research-collection.ethz.ch/handle/20.500.11850/74155)
- Conclusion: 10.3929/ethz-a-010002721 resolves to https://www.research-collection.ethz.ch/handle/20.500.11850/74155
- The permanent URL is https://doi.org/10.3929/ethz-a-010002721
- The permanent URL only works due to the URL https://www.research-collection.ethz.ch/handle/20.500.11850/74155
The only issue is that your landing page is still a document, and this is not allowed (DataCite requires landingpages for DOIs). Everything else is fine. I think the person setting up the website will this and then they can set up the site according to this. I don’t know what else to tell you, the landingpages are actually quite simple.
